Founded in 1986, the legal successor of VILLBAU General Partnership is now VILLBAU Security Technology Ltd., following a legal evolution similar to other privately established companies in Hungary and the region.

In the late 1980s, the company was involved in the design and implementation of high- and low-voltage systems. However, in the early 1990s—partly due to the societal changes that occurred—there was a growing demand for security technology, emerging as a solvent market in Hungary. Our company quickly recognized this new market segment and took all necessary steps to capitalize on it.

From this point on, security technology became our main activity, although at the time we primarily focused on the design, installation, and operation of intrusion detection systems. The next steps involved the trade and then the manufacturing of various security devices. Among our products, network transformers and power supplies were the first to go into mass production, followed by the development of a sounder family under the SOLO brand, meeting both Hungarian and international market demands.

The general and continuous deterioration of public safety, combined with the qualitative improvement of the Hungarian telephone network, provided an ideal environment for the establishment of remote monitoring systems and services.The development and manufacturing of a digital telephone receiver unit, compliant with regulations, and its accompanying software was the next major milestone in our operations. The receiver unit was marketed under the name ENIGMA, and the software as ALARM-SYS. Thanks to their continuous improvement in response to consumer needs, both systems continue to enjoy great success, both in Hungary and worldwide. In the field of remote monitoring devices mentioned earlier, the development of the ENIGMA long-range radio system was, without exaggeration, a significant success and provided a strong market advantage for our company.

Currently, our focus is on the production and continuous improvement of the ENIGMA II and the significantly revamped SOLO sounder family, as well as the development of other new products. We strive to meet these challenges to the best of our abilities.

The company has a stable financial position, and we are reliable and accurate Partners to both our suppliers and customers. Through our activities, we have established a respectable presence in the domestic security technology market. Our company is well-known and recognized among businesses operating in the Hungarian security technology sector, and we regularly participate in professional forums. We are regular exhibitors at one of Europe's largest security technology trade shows, held annually in Budapest every autumn. With the continuous expansion of our own developed products, we have succeeded in becoming recognized players not only in the domestic market for digital control receivers but also in the global market, as evidenced by our orders coming in from all over the world.
