New DIVAR IP all-in-one 4000 and 6000 video recorders for small and medium systems

New DIVAR IP all-in-one 4000 and 6000 video recorders for small and medium systems

The central element of modern video security systems is the video recording unit, which is responsible for archiving the recordings they make. The complexity of installation and configuration often adds time and cost. Bosch's new all-in-one DIVAR IP 4000 and 6000 recording units provide an innovative solution to these problems, offering all the benefits of professional video recording and management systems in a compact package. This makes them an excellent choice for small and medium-sized shops and offices, and they can also be expanded as required.

Purpose-driven operation

DIVAR IP recorders meet all the requirements for video security solutions: they can be installed immediately and their intuitive user interface (UI) helps with the initial installation and the selection of operating modes. Integrators can manage installed software applications directly from the video recorder, minimizing downtime. DIVAR IP recorders are also an excellent fit for large, distributed systems. DIVAR IP 4000 and 6000 recorders can be used in three modes of operation depending on their position in the system. When the BVMS (Bosch Video Management System) mode is activated, users have a full-fledged recording and management system using the components and features of BVMS and Video Recording Manager (VRM). In this mode, the system can handle advanced video management features such as event and alarm management.

The right choice for Bosch tools

As the main mode of operation for the DIVAR IP 4000 and 6000 recording units, BVMS is a robust, modular system that provides security operators with collected and consolidated data to help them make the right decisions. The system thus ensures that data is always available and secure. In this way, Bosch offers an advanced IP video security solution that seamlessly manages digital video, audio and data over an IP network. The system combines IP cameras and encoders, system event and alarm management, server monitoring, user and priority management. This mode offers the best video management system for Bosch video surveillance devices, leveraging the unique capabilities of Bosch cameras and iSCSI recording solutions. Includes Video Streaming Gateway components for integration with third-party cameras.

Alignment with existing systems

The two additional modes of operation of the DIVAR IP 4000 and 6000 can also be an important element of an existing system.

When the system is in VRM (Video Recording Manager) mode, DIVAR IP recorders become pure video recording systems, which enable users to efficiently manage iSCSI-based storage using the core components and features of VRM.

In iSCSI mode, the DIVAR IP recorders can be used as a simple data repository and provide expansion capability for BVMS (Bosch Video Management System) or VRM systems running on other hardware.

The use of this mode adds flexibility to an existing system by providing additional storage space for captured video material, i.e. extending the storage capacity of the system.

Combined with AI-enabled cameras, Bosch's 'forensic search' capability allows operators to instantly retrieve and evaluate the right footage from hours of stored video, making response to potential threats faster and more efficient.
