The external design remains unchanged, making it ideal for expanding existing systems. The MS6 cameras are available in three housing types: bullet, eyeball, and dome. In addition to the standard white, they are also available in an elegant anthracite grey. You can choose from a fixed 2.8mm lens or a motorized zoom with autofocus, adjustable up to 12mm. The series offers both the standard 4-megapixel resolution and a new 6-megapixel option, which marks another Techson innovation. Both versions feature 0.008 lux sensitivity and true WDR. Additionally, an SD card slot is available, and certain models come with relay input and output options.
This is where the features depart from the previous series, marking a significant upgrade.
The professional Techson cameras already feature AI ISP, which enhances image quality in low-light conditions. The MS6 series also incorporates this technology, although the image sensor is not solely designed for night mode. This is why the Techson MS6 cameras are equipped with intelligent, hybrid lighting. In addition to standard infrared LEDs, the cameras also feature a white light source, which can be controlled via the expanded SMD (Smart Motion Detection) function. This means that, in night mode, if the camera detects a person, it activates the white light, providing a color night image of the intruder. However, since we are dealing with intelligent cameras, the monitored object can be set to a vehicle rather than a person. This allows the camera to capture vivid, high-contrast, color footage of not only individuals intruding into the area but also vehicles entering or passing through.
Compared to the simpler models with SMD, the MS6 cameras offer a new feature that allows the user to define specific areas where motion detection will trigger the activation of the white light. In addition to the SMD functionality, the advanced traditional motion detection is also available, where the system can differentiate between a person and a vehicle.
Advanced Object Filtering and Multi-AI Technology
Object filtering has reached a new level. The system can now distinguish not only between people, bicycles, and cars but also process and store various characteristics of objects. For individuals, it identifies gender, age, direction of movement, hat, glasses, backpack, side bag, as well as the type and color of upper and lower clothing, and even mask-wearing. For vehicles, it differentiates between color, model, type, and manufacturing year. This significantly facilitates the post-event retrieval of footage in the case of incidents.
Additionally, it is highly beneficial that, with object filtering, not only can the monitored area or line be drawn, but the minimum and maximum size of the object can also be specified. This feature would not be complete without threshold-based counting or detailed regional statistics. The former helps by allowing us to physically stop traffic when the maximum capacity of a building or parking lot is reached, by triggering a relay. The latter provides detailed information and collects data on the number of objects crossing designated areas or lines.
Thanks to Multi-AI, the new AI-powered features allow us to use multiple functions simultaneously. The only exception is facial recognition, which requires additional resources from the camera, meaning that when it's in use, object filtering features cannot be enabled.
There’s no shortage of extras either!
The motorized zoom versions of the MS6 cameras are equipped with a perimeter protection function (Perimeter Alarm). The red-blue flashing lights, combined with a strong audible alarm, go well beyond passive surveillance, providing a powerful deterrent. This significantly enhances the security of the area monitored by the camera.
In addition to visual monitoring, the MS6 cameras also pay attention to sounds and noises. This model introduces sound intensity monitoring for the first time. This means the camera will alert you if it detects a sudden increase in volume or if the normal noise level completely disappears.
Another innovation is that, while time-lapse recordings used to be stored solely on an SD card, the MS6 camera can now also transmit images to an FTP server. This enhances convenience and usability.
The MS6 camera also features the increasingly popular P2P access, meaning it can be installed independently, without the need for a recorder. With the Superlive Plus mobile app, you can remotely view the camera feed, as well as review footage recorded on the SD card.
