PTZ cameras are typically eye-catching due to their size. Techson's new compact PTZ, the TCI PA4 P104 IH50 ADM Z4/PA, features a much more discreet design, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
The PA4 P104 camera brilliantly combines the 360-degree observation capabilities of PTZs with the active protection provided by perimeter alarm cameras, which utilize light and sound alerts.
Thanks to artificial intelligence, the camera can independently perform multiple tasks. Equipped with the object identification feature common in the MS series cameras, it can monitor both line crossings and area intrusions while pairing them with object identification. Due to its object identification and area protection capabilities, the camera can issue a light or even sound alert if a person or vehicle enters the designated area, thereby warning or informing the intruder. If this is not sufficient, the camera can begin tracking the object, continuously monitoring its movement. Additionally, the camera includes an alarm output, allowing for the activation of further connected alarms.
In addition to line crossings and area intrusions, target counting is also an available feature of the camera. This allows us to track the number of people entering and exiting the designated area; however, this limits the PTZ functionality since moving the camera will also shift the designated counting line. Nevertheless, both the PTZ and target counting capabilities can be advantageous, for example, during surveillance of a store.
Similar to other PTZ cameras, we have the option to set presets and patrols for this camera, allowing it to continuously monitor the entire visible area on its own — just like a fully functional PTZ camera. Additionally, we have the ability to manually control the camera and direct it to the desired area. This can be done through a recorder, the camera's own web interface, or even via an application on our mobile device.
If the security personnel are managing the camera, they can also use it manually according to their preference: the camera can be moved, and through the built-in speaker and microphone, they can communicate back and forth with individuals present in the designated area without any issues.
This established two-way audio connection can also be useful for drawing the attention of intruders, for instance, to inform them that they are in a monitored area and to act accordingly or leave the designated space.
Unlike larger PTZ cameras, this camera is equipped with a 4x motorized zoom, which primarily enhances its suitability for indoor use or may be sufficient for monitoring smaller outdoor areas.
It can be an excellent choice for indoor monitoring of stores, shops, and malls, as well as for checking smaller industrial halls or community areas. Additionally, it is also highly suitable for property surveillance, providing end users the freedom to control it themselves, allowing them to independently monitor their home environment.
