We are witnessing the merging of the entry-level and mid-range categories when we take a look at the features of the Techson EC5 series.
Attractive, advanced features in the EC5 series
The increasingly popular hybrid lighting has been enhanced with object filtering, and exceptionally, the size limits of recognized shapes can also be adjusted. In practice, this means that smart motion detection (SMD) has been enriched with a more advanced version in terms of vehicle and bicycle recognition. This allows for much more precise definitions of the rules that trigger the switch from infrared lighting to white light at night, as well as the associated colored recordings and alerts. For instance, we can exclude a cyclist who appears smaller in the distance from detection. Conversely, the system can also be set up so that people or vehicles walking very close by (which appear larger) do not trigger any alerts, while objects that appear in the distance, such as those at the gate, do.
Exceeds all expectations!
In addition to intelligent dual lighting, the EC5 camera series also features P2P access, allowing the equipped cameras to be accessed independently, without a recorder, in the SuperLive Plus application. This means that cameras can be installed in locations where only a single camera is needed. The SD card that can be inserted into the EC5 also handles recording tasks, allowing the footage to be reviewed in the mobile application.
The Techson EC5 IP cameras, available in two- and four-megapixel versions with true WDR functionality and a sensitivity of 0.005 Lux, are poised to become the most popular camera family in the entry-level segment.
